Led by its current Musical Director, Duncan Aspden, TCC has gone from strength to strength, always expanding its repertoire and constantly striving to improve its performance, whilst at the same time taking enormous pleasure in rehearsing glorious music in good company. TCC brings together many of the best singers from Thame and the surrounding area. Our number includes professional musicians, singing and music teachers, former Cathedral lay clerks and ex-choral scholars from many cities. They blend their voices with others drawn by a passion for excellent choral singing.

Thame Chamber Choir's repertoire has included substantial works by Bach, Bernstein, Charpentier, Dvorak, Faure, Handel, Haydn, Kodaly, Liszt, Mozart, Rossini, Schutz and Vivaldi, as well as shorter works by a wide variety of composers from the Renaissance to the twenty-first century. Voice training is a regular feature of our weekly meetings: voice workshop rehearsals have often been lead by guests such as Miriam Allan (Soprano), Robert Hollingworth (I Fagiolini) and Deborah Miles-Johnson.

Although we work hard at our music, we are also a friendly, sociable group. Most weeks, after rehearsal, a number of choir members will be found taking well-earned refreshment in The Cross Keys before heading home, and there are usually one or two social get-togethers during the course of a year.
